Week 5 – Thanksgiving Themed: Turkey & Waffle Sandwiches

Good Morning Fellow Footballers 😀 Happy Sunday!

I am late with week 5 so today I am posting both Week 5 and Week 6.. life is just a crazy mess this year – and I am sure we ALL feel that way! Football is a bit different this year, the big football parties and the big spreads are not a thing with this Covid situation, so this particular NFL eat is to help use up some of those thanksgiving leftovers 🙂

It was 3 of us this year who got to eat together, but I still managed to cook as if it there was 8 of us 🙂 so this was a nice way to wrap up some leftovers in a fun way!

Week 5 – Thanksgiving Themed: Turkey & waffle Sandwiches

  • 2 cups of Leftover Stuffing
  • 2 eggs
  • Leftover turkey
  • Waffle maker
  • Leftover Thanksgiving sides

  1. Get out all the items you want to put on your sandwich
  2. Mix stuffing and eggs together
  3. Preheat your waffle maker as per instructions and preheat over to 450 degrees
  4. PAM the waffle maker and then place 2 heaping scoops in your waffle maker and press down
  5. Cook for 6-8 minutes in waffle maker – want them to be browned on the outside
  6. Place waffles on a baking sheet and put in the oven for 10-12 minutes *this just helps really crisp up that outside
  7. While waffles are baking – heat up your leftovers you want on your sandwich
  8. Once waffles are out of the oven, top with desired toppings like Turkey, cranberries, gravy, mashed potatoes, coleslaw – WHATEVER you desire
  9. Enjoy your Thanksgiving sandwich *careful its messy but DELICIOUS

Makes 2 sandwiches or 4 open face sandwiches
