Week 7 – Taco Chip Bar makes Tacos in a Bag!

Good Afternoon Football Fans! Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. We have snow here in Calgary, and it is COLD! Can’t believe its already snow weather here. For this weeks Football Eats, we have a fun spin on Tacos using Halloween chips!! This year, Halloween looks very different for the first time in my life time, the likelihood of all of us having leftover Halloween treats, is high this year! So this week and next week are dedicated to football snacks using Halloween treats!

Everyone loves when Food is creative. This is not only a fun way to use leftover chips, but it is also a fun activity for everyone to customize their own bag however you want! Here is Beef Tacos in a bag… Tex Mex Style!

Tacos in a Bag!


  • 1 package Lean ground Beef
  • 1 taco mix package
  • 1 head of iceberg Lettuce
  • 1 jar Nacho Cheese Sauce
  • 2 Tomatoes diced
  • 1 contain sour cream
  • 1 bunch of green onions diced
  • 1 green pepper diced
  • 1 can pickled jalapenos
  • 1 jar salsa
  • Snack pack Nacho Doritos


  • Hot sauce
  • Refried Beans (heated)
  • Corn
  • Black Beans
  • Cilantro
  • Pulled Pork Carnitas or Chicken Tinga (Recipe on home page)

These Taco’s in a Bag can have anything you please in them. So whatever you enjoy in a taco – that is what you put in here 😊


  1. Cook beef and mix in taco mix as per package
  2. Heat Nacho cheese
  3. Make taco in a bag to your desire

Makes 15-20 tacos in a bag

OR… NACHOS!!! My sister decided to do hers more like a nacho salad style 😊
